My Opinion On Mattias Desmet: Just Human With Potential To Be Abused

Some serious critique about psychology professor and author Mattias Desmet has been published on America Out Loud this week.

Today I received an e-mail with this text:

With all due respect, after having read “The Psychology of Totalitarianism”, I agree with Peter Breggin that Prof. Matthias Desmet is nothing else than an (un)conscious gaslighter himself, who makes us believe that the eternal conspiracy of the most powerful of the “2%” psychopaths for eternal domination over us “98%” empathetic humans is nothing else than a mass illusion.

So the question is: Is Mattias Desmet and his book about covid-19 psychology the real deal or a new kind of controlled opposition?

Well, I don’t know, but I do have some thoughts about the question.

Maybe Mattias Desmet is just human? Like all other humans he too perceives reality through his personal filters. It should therefore be no surprise that a psychologist with expertise in mass hypnosis will view covid-19 as a result of the psychological processes involved in mass hypnosis. I have a background in nutrition and I have published a report that concluded that covid-19 is a nutrition related disease. People with other backgrounds will have other filters that will lead them to different conclusions. It is therefore important that we have an open and free debate and sharing of informations, arguments and evidence.

I think most who have studied covid-19 more than through the mainstream news media will agree that covid-19 is a very complex phenomenon. I will here list some main groups of explanations:

A. Covid-19 is exactly as we are told from the mainstream media, authorities and politicians.

B. Covid-19 is for the most part as we are told from the mainstream media, authorities and politicians – but errors have been made which in combination with mass hypnosis creates a very dangerous situation. But no one is really to blame. There is no big conspiracy. No hidden hands are pulling the strings for some hidden agenda. Mattias Desmet falls into this category.

C. Covid-19 is not at all as we are told from the mainstream media, authorities and politicians. It is a criminal conspiracy orchestrated from the highest level of global power.

I agree with the critics of Desmet, that his book provides an excuse and a way out for the potential criminals. But this may not have been his intent, but simply a consequence of his filter of perception.

The real problem as I see it is that no authorities are doing real and thorough criminal investigations into the suspected global crime conspiracy that covid-19 may be. The evidence provided by others is only circumstantial. The real problem is that the authorities with the capacity to do such investigation are being controlled by the suspects – if the criminal theory is true – which creates a system in which the criminals will never be investigated, prosecuted and punished.
